44 Stories is a fascinating dance and theatre performance telling LGBT stories from across the Commonwealth.
Out of the 71 nations and territories of the Commonwealth, 44 declare homosexuality as illegal. In some places it is punishable by death.
To explore more about these places and the people that live there, LBGT stories have been collated from across the Commonwealth to present an athletic, poetic exploration of visibility, activism and the right to be with the person you love.
Part of the Glasgow 2014 Cultural Programme, 44 Stories is written and directed by Drew Taylor – a multifaceted theatre maker based in Glasgow who has worked with some of the best theatrical voices in the UK – and performed by Olivia Knowles, Katie Armstrong, Tom Jackson-Greaves and Bugg Vincent.
You can catch the performance at The Arches, one of Glasgow’s most popular cultural venues – every night until Saturday 5th July.
