Scottish theatre company Visible Fictions will be pedaling their new show to a park near you this summer.
A theatre production with a difference, The Spokesman will celebrate the great outdoors in local parks and green spaces across Scotland from 25 May–19 July 2014.
Part of the Glasgow 2014 Cultural Programme, this hilariously heartwarming tale will take you on a whirlwind tour of discovery, in which the cast and audience travel through the story on bikes.
The tour will visit parks in 11 locations across Scotland – Drumpellier Country Park (Coatbridge), Almondell Country Park (Livingston), Barshaw Country Park (Paisley), Dean Castle Country Park (Kilmarnock), Cammo Estate (Edinburgh), Levengrove Park (Dumbarton), Beveridge Park (Kircaldy), Aden Country Park (Mintlaw), Mugdock Country Park (Stirling) and Pollok Country Park (Glasgow).
With only 20 spaces available per show, advance booking is highly recommended. Visit the Visible Fictions website for more details.
Bikes and helmets will be provided. The nature of the performance will require participants to cycle (on mostly flat terrain) outside, in stints of 5–10 minutes over the course of an hour. At the point of booking, participants should provide age and height details, in addition to any accessibility requirements.
