How are you feeling about this Friday’s fight?

I’m feeling good. Preparations have gone well. I’m ready to go.

Being from Govan, are you excited about the Commonwealth Games coming to Glasgow?

I’m really excited to be boxing in my backyard next year.

What would it mean to you to be part of Team Scotland at Glasgow 2014?

It would be a massive honour. To win Gold in front of home support would be amazing. I didn’t medal in Delhi, so I want Gold in Glasgow.

Why do you think people love watching the sport of boxing so much?

It’s an exciting sport and you never know what is going to happen. One punch can change a fight.

Do you listen to music when you’re training? If so, what are some of your favourite motivational tracks?

I like to listen to a variety of music. I listen to the Braveheart soundtrack before my fights. Honestly!

How do you celebrate after a big win?

Usually I go out for a meal with my girlfriend or my family. I’m not much of a drinker, so not down the pub.
