Medal Memories: Liz McColgan, Edinburgh 1986

At the Edinburgh 1986 Commonwealth Games, Liz Lynch made history when she took home the Gold medal in the 10,000 metres in front of an ecstatic Scottish crowd. It was the first time the event had been held for women at a Commonwealth Games.

In this exclusive interview, Liz McColgan (nee Lynch) looks back at this iconic moment and says they'll be nothing like supporting a local hero when the Games come to Glasgow.
