First Bus is the largest bus operator in Scotland – around 1,500 buses carry approximately 400,000 passengers every day. We employ more than 4,000 people committed to keeping people moving and communities prospering in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, East and West Lothian, Central Scotland, the Borders, Lanarkshire, and of course Glasgow.
We are proud of our Scottish roots and proud too that our services are an integral part of what will be one of the most important and spectacular sporting events ever hosted in the UK.
At Glasgow 2014 our network of high frequency, regular services across the city will be supplemented by spectator shuttle services linking principle Games venues with the city centre.
As well as transporting hundreds of thousands of spectators and our regular customers, we will also provide dedicated services for all Glasgow 2014 client groups, including the athletes, officials and the media.
We’ve got a fantastic team dedicated to planning and operating Games services. Our preparations are almost complete and we are very much looking forward to the start of Glasgow 2014.
First Bus and ScotRail, Official Supporter – Passenger Rail Services for the Games, are part of Aberdeen-based transport operator FirstGroup.
