Website Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to access and enjoy the Glasgow 2014 website. That’s why we’re continually working towards Level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines Version 2.0.

In developing our main website, independent accessibility tests were carried out and actions were taken based on the findings.

In October 2012, full browser testing was carried out successfully on the most up-to-date versions of these operating systems:

  • Google Chrome (Windows)
  • Google Chrome (Mac)
  • IE7, IE8, IE9, IE10
  • Firefox
  • iOS 6 and 7 (mobile and tablet)
  • Android 4.2 and 4.3 (mobile and tablet)

Please contact us if you have any questions or feedback about how we can make our website more accessible for you.

Alternative Formats

Enlarging Text

If you find it easier to view information in a larger font than the standard text on these pages, you can adjust the size in your browser settings.

Changing Colours

Changing a website’s background colour can be useful if you rely on magnification technology as white can produce an uncomfortable glare. It’s also possible to change the colour of the body text on this site.

Both enlarging the text and changing the colours on this website can be achieved by changing preferences in your browser. The BBC provides detailed guidance on how to do this in different browsers and operating system. View the BBC My Web My Way guidelines.
