Gift of the Games

Sport and culture has the power to transform people’s lives and this summer we have the opportunity for Scotland’s young people to experience that for themselves.

Glasgow 2014 has set aside thousands of tickets for children and young people in Scotland facing poverty and social exclusion, offering each of them a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience the excitement of the Commonwealth Games for themselves.

But we want to offer more than just a ticket to a sporting event – we want to make sure we can offer an unforgettable great day out, and we are inviting the business community to work with us to enable this to happen.

We will be working with local authority social work departments, community based charities and Cash for Kids to make sure that these opportunities reach those most in need right across the country, and provide a springboard to ongoing and longer-term support. Please join us to enable thousands of Scotland’s disadvantaged young people to receive the Gift of the Games.

Just £35 will meet the costs of giving a young person a great day out that they will never forget:

  • Ticket to a Commonwealth Games sport this Summer
  • Experiencing the action at a Live Zone
  • Travel
  • Food and drink
  • Support and supervision from a trusted organisation

How many children and young people will your business help to experience the Gift of the Games?
