Through visual arts, dance, music, theatre, and film, Culture 2014 brings a Commonwealth flavour to some of Scotland’s most exciting festivals.
The Host City’s annual festivals will be taking on a distinctly Commonwealth theme this year, with the Merchant City Festival showcasing music, performance, street-theatre, dance, food and markets in the heart of the city during Games Time.
Scotland’s festivals will be joining in the celebration of the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games through special commissions, such as Edinburgh International Festival’s South African Season.
Don’t forget that Festival 2014 – the Games Time celebrations running alongside the sporting action – will be taking place 19 July–3 August, filling Glasgow with exciting entertainment and culture from Scotland and around the world.
