BP Young Leaders Programme 2014

As part of BP’s partnership with Glasgow 2014, the BP Young Leaders Programme 2014 is a mentoring scheme for 65 young people aged between 17-21 to help give them the chance to develop skills that will make them more employable.

The Young Leaders will take part in a number of projects in their local communities reflecting BP’s commitment to Scotland, their Glasgow 2014 partnership and the Games legacy. These opportunities will help them to develop skills that will make them more employable.

The programme began in September 2013, and will conclude in March 2015.

BP is leading the programme in conjunction with Inspiring Scotland and the Dame Kelly Holmes Legacy Trust, working with Action For Children, Aberdeen Foyer, and a consortium of Shetland Islands Council with Moving On Employability Project, Voluntary Action Shetland and the Bridges Project.

The young people will be mentored during the project by BP employees and supported by athlete mentors from the Dame Kelly Holmes Legacy Trust.
