The Triathlon event will take place in Strathclyde Country Park, on the south-eastern edge of Glasgow. This satellite venue is a popular destination for recreation and a range of sporting events, including rowing, sailing and cycling. For the Triathlon competition, Strathclyde Loch will be used for swimming, with the cycling and running stages taking place along the surrounding network of roads and pathways.
The park is approximately 14 miles from Glasgow city centre. The venue is accessible by public transport with options from across the city including, rail and bus routes. Car parking at or near the venue will be restricted to authorised vehicles only.

- Strathclyde Country Park receives thousands of visitors each year who take part in a huge range of activities including sailing, bird-watching, orienteering and water-skiing.
- The park provides breeding sites and refuge for more than 150 different species of wild animals and birds.
- In 1994 the first ever T in the Park music festival took place at Strathclyde Park. Performers included Blur, The Manic Street Preachers, Pulp and Oasis.
