Glasgow 2014 Accessibility Information
The Glasgow 2014 web site has been built to follow the World wide Web Consortium’s (W3C) Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) Guidelines level A
Changing the text size
The site supports a number of methods for resizing text. The user can use their specific browser’s own text resizing menu options. Alternatively the user can resize the text on any web page by selecting the A A A options in the menu.
Changing the colour
The site gives the user three colour options for viewing the pages. These can be selected by choosing the Customise your glasgow 2014 option at the top of each page. Alternatively you can override these option by creating your own styles in your browser options.
Browsealoud and other Screen Readers
The Glasgow 2014 web site has been speech enabled for use with Browsealoud software and other screen readers. Browsealoud is free to use and can be downloaded here.
Access Keys
In accordance with government guidelines on accessibilty the Glasgow 2014 web site makes use of access keys to enable users to navigate the site using keyboard shortcuts. A list of access keys is defined below
