Director of Communications
Gordon Arthur was appointed as Director of Communications at Glasgow 2014 in September 2008, and is responsible for all internal and external communications in support of the Games, including the broadcasting of the Games to all 71 countries in the Commonwealth.
Director of Marketing and Sponsorship
John’s responsibilities include developing the marketing plan for the 2014 Games to communicate key messages about the Games to a wide variety of target groups in the years leading up to 2014. He will be responsible for the development of the brand marketing programme that will include the development and launch of the Games’ visual identity and the establishment of brand guidelines to support its use. He will also be responsible for developing the sponsorship, merchandising and ticket-sale strategies for the Games.
Director of Games Family Services
Kate’s responsibilities will include developing the relationships between the Organising Committee and the 71 member associations (CGAs) within the Commonwealth Games Federation. She will be responsible for ensuring that all necessary services and equipment are provided to the teams from each association, so that the athletes and team management can perform at their best.
