Expressions of interest
During 2009, a procurement portal dedicated to Games related procurement opportunities will be launched. Whilst the Glasgow 2014 site is undergoing development, companies can register expressions of interest regarding future Commonwealth Games opportunities with our delivery partner, Glasgow City Council. This will enable you to;
– Input information to complete your Organisation profile.
– Select the types of Goods, Services or Works opportunities that you are interested in and receive automated alerts about forthcoming tenders.
– Save time & effort –
o You can choose to only answer basic profile questions then complete the remainder at your leisure
o Completion of a PQQ will automatically backfill your organisation’s profile for future use.
o No need to enter the same standard PQQ data for your organisation for each opportunity.
– The majority of the required information can be completed pro actively and only tender specific information will need to be added for individual projects
– Registration will also enable companies to gain information on all other Glasgow City Council procurement opportunities
To register your organisation and to start benefiting, please go to the following link: https://glasgow.bravosolution.co.uk/ where you can complete your Supplier Profile Registration details.
All companies registered on Glasgow City Councils Bravo Solutions portal will automatically be registered onto the new Games portal when it goes live.
If you are already registered at https://glasgow.bravosolution.co.uk/ then you should log in and click on ‘Managing your Profile’ and then ‘Extended Profile’. By completing the questions in this area you will start to benefit from the features listed above.

Procurement Opportunities
Procurement Opportunities for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in 2014 will fall into three broad categories and timescales.
Specialist Support Services: 2008 onwards
In order to develop the detail of the delivery plan for the Games Glasgow 2014 Ltd may need to procure specialist support services. Details of any opportunities will be advertised on this website and, where required under European procurement law, in the Official Journal Of The European Union (OJEU). It is likely that these support services would be procured and delivered on a consultancy basis.
Infrastructure and Capital Investment; 2009 onwards
From 2009 onwards G2014 Ltd and its partner, Glasgow City Council supported by Culture and Sport Glasgow, will procure and deliver new venues, upgrades to existing venues and other related infrastructure required for the Games, including the Games Village. Procurement will happen incrementally in line with a programme of venues and facilities’ development, and finalisation of the detailed requirements to deliver the Games, although the bulk of the procurement is likely to take place between 2009 and 2012.
Services and Temporary Games Overlay; 2012 – 2014
In the years immediately prior to the Games the focus of procurement will change more to the provision of services and the necessary temporary Games infrastructure to ensure the successful delivery of the Games.
More information on this will be provided in due course, but all open tender opportunities will be advertised on the Glasgow 2014 Ltd website and, where required under European procurement law, in the Official Journal Of The European Union (OJEU).
