The Opening Ceremony in Glasgow
The Celtic Park stadium will be crammed with 60,000 people to celebrate the start of the action. The Games Village is located close to the stadium and this will allow more athletes than ever before to take part in the opening ceremony because the stadium is only a short walk from the Village. In the following 11 days, over 230 gold medals will be up for grabs.
