By road

By air
Glasgow Airport serves most major international airlines and there are currently 28 daily services to London. The First 500 shuttle bus service runs from the airport to Glasgow city centre up to every 10 minutes, 24 hours a day, and takes approximately 25 minutes. The First 747 Airlink service runs from the airport to Glasgow city centre via Braehead Shopping Centre and Partick Interchange.
Partick Interchange serves a number of areas in Glasgow via rail, subway and bus connections. Details of all airport shuttle links can be found on the Glasgow Airport Bus and Coaches page. Glasgow Airport also has an SPT Travel Desk, located at Domestic Arrivals, where staff can provide you with details of buses and taxis.

ScotRail has announced that it will provide additional late – night rail services during the Games to:
Airdrie, Ardrossan, Ayr, Balloch, Barrhead, Cumbernauld, Dalmuir, Dumbarton, Dunblane, East Kilbride, Edinburgh, Falkirk, Gourock, Hamilton, Helensburgh, Kilmarnock, Lanark, Largs, Larkhall, Milngavie, Motherwell, Neilston, Newton, Paisley, Perth, Stirling and Wemyss Bay.

By sea
Stenaline runs up to six ferry services between Cairnryan and Belfast every day and the approximate crossing time is two hours and 15 minutes. Travel from Cairnryan to Glasgow is provided by Scottish Citylink or a shuttle bus can take passengers to Stranraer railway station which offers an hourly service to Ayr.
