Walking to the venue
This venue is 6 miles (over two hours walk) from central Glasgow which means that walking isn’t a feasible option for spectators who are travelling from the city centre.
Why not cycle? It’s only about 45 minutes from the city centre
Cycling from Glasgow city centre to the venue should take around 45 minutes.

Head south on South Frederick St toward Ingram St – Turn left onto Ingram St – Turn right onto Glassford St – Continue onto Stockwell St – Continue onto Gorbals St – Slight right onto Pollokshaws Rd – Slight left onto Victoria Rd – Turn left onto Allison St – Turn right onto Cathcart Rd – Turn Left onto Dixon Rd – Turn right onto Aikenhead Rd – Continue onto Kingswood Dr – Turn left onto Menock Rd – Turn right onto Southwood Dr – Turn right onto Carmunock Rd – Enter Kings Park – Head towards Croftpark Ave – Right onto Croftpark Ave – Left onto Thorncroft Dr – Head through jucntion onto south Croftoot Rd – Follow road right onto Carmunock Rd – Exit road left onto cycle path – Head towards Linndale Dr – Turn left onto Linndale Dr – Turn left onto Ardencraig Rd – Proposed Cycle Parking on left.
Travelling by bus – Locally to venue from 15 minutes
Cathkin Braes is served by bus routes which stop approximately a 15 minute walk from the venue. Remember return bus travel from Glasgow city centre is included in the cost of your event ticket.
From Glasgow city centre:
Union Street, First Bus service 75 (to Castlemilk) – Ardencraig Road (before Windlaw Rd).
Osborne Street, First Bus services 5 and 31 (to Castlemilk) – Ardencraig Road (opp Windlaw Rd). Travel time is approximately 30 minutes.
From Rutherglen – First Bus service 46 towards Castlemilk to Ardencraig Road (nr Windlaw Rd). Travel time is 15 minutes.
From Govan Bus Station – First Bus service 34 towards Castlemilk to Ardencraig Road (nr Windlaw Rd). Travel time is 44 minutes.
Travelling by rail
There is no rail station in close proximity that serves Cathkin Braes Country Park.

You are advised not to drive to Cathkin Braes. Parking around the venue is reserved strictly for residents and local businesses only. There will be no set down/pick up points. Roads will be busy and subject to closures and restrictions. Blue Badge holders should visit here to book parking.
