Putting Scotland on the Global Stage
Scotland might be a small nation of some five million people – but it has made a tremendous contribution to the wider world through its history, enterprise and individual endeavour. The Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games will give Scotland a chance to showcase its strengths and talents – and to show the world that it is a tolerant and peaceful nation which has embraced its multi-ethnic community.
While the Commonwealth Games are known as The Friendly Games, there is no denying that every serious competitor wants to win a gold medal.
